Skosha resonates with national cannabis enthusiasts

Any time I could (safely) travel within the Atlantic Bubble, I always checked out CannabisNB and the NSLC Cannabis stores to see what else was available from Skosha. That’s when I fell in love with Dartmouth Kush.

As a cannabis enthusiast and early adopter to the legal cannabis space, researching brands and sampling products is, well, I guess you could say, a hobby of mine. While I was living in Toronto, the selection of high quality cannabis products that were available at different retailers across the city was amazing. When I moved back home to PEI, I knew that the selection would not be the same, and I worried about missing out on high-quality craft cannabis. Luckily, I had a friend who was familiar with Skosha and shared a pre-roll joint of Lemon Dory, a bright, lemony sativa that is perfectly accompanied with your favourite weekend activities. The true lemon aroma immediately impressed me, unlike that common cleaning product lemon scent. I couldn’t believe it when she told me that the product grows here in the Maritimes, right next door in Nova Scotia. I pulled out my phone and started googling the brand; I needed to know more. After checking out their website, I realized Skosha was the recreational cannabis brand of the first Licensed Producer in NS, Breathing Green Limited. I had looked into them a couple of years ago when I was looking for my first medical cannabis producer. It was so cool to see the evolution of the company and the development of the Skosha brand. As I spent some time on their website, I quickly learned about their unique growing practices (the PurePlant method is super cool, check it out here) and that they don’t irradiate their cannabis, an anomaly in the legal market these days.

Any time I could (safely) travel within the Atlantic Bubble, I always checked out CannabisNB and the NSLC Cannabis stores to see what else was available from Skosha. That’s when I fell in love with Dartmouth Kush. As soon as I opened the package I saw the thick, frosty nugs and could smell a strong berry note with some subtle spicy sweetness that lingered on the nose. That sweet berry smell translates to a super tasty and clean smoke that is perfect for my Saturday afternoon sesh.

It didn’t take long before I connected with someone on the Skosha team through social media and discovered more about the amazing people who work there, the passion they have for the plant, and the exciting pheno-hunting they’ve been up to. It’s always refreshing for me to come across high-quality products and it’s a huge plus to discover that it’s grown by a passionate group of folks right here in the Maritimes.
